Continuing Marylhurst’s tradition of performing landmark 20th century and contemporary repertoire, this year’s concert presents Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring in its masterful original instrumentation for thirteen instruments, Chorale (homage to Aaron Copland) by Tomas Svoboda, an Octet by Ken Selden, and original works by two Marylhurst composition students.
